Thank you. I had an opportunity to speak with Pastor Bobby recently. I had called him to ask for prayer regarding a particular job situation. I had asked Pastor to pray for me asking that God show me favor in hopes of getting this job I wanted. I’m going for a 2nd interview in a couple days and I wanted some spiritual help. Well it became a very valuable learning experience and I can’t explain the light that went on in my head. I was wanting prayer for something I wanted instead of praying for what God wanted. Getting hired with this company requires a clean credit history. This is the 2nd time I’ve applied with this company and the first time I didn’t even get a 2nd interview because of my history. Well I’m getting a 2nd interview, so I have become at least a consideration. Sharing this with Pastor Bobby gave me a chance to experience his wisdom from Gods point of view. Pastor Bobby said that it doesn’t matter what you have going against you, if it’s Gods will, there is absolutely nothing that can stop Gods will. In other words, Gods will IS absolute. The gates of hell cannot hold back Gods will. So I learned something about prayer, God and the absolute Will Of God. UNSTOPPABLE.
Way to go, Phil!… and ya’ll better believe that it’s true! We as believers and followers of Christ have to remember that God’s ways are above our ways, and His thoughts are above our thoughts. The Scriptures tell us in Luke 12:31 to “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and He will give you everything you need.” Let us endeavor to do more ‘pressing’ into His will instead of us ‘impressing our wills” on Him.
